Spring Break Workshops
Cake Basics | Monday, April 16, 7-9pm | $45
For Adults. Learn the basics of cake decorating. With nearly two hours of professional hands-on instruction students will learn the tricks to professionally tort and fill their very own cakelet (6” cake). Learn to crumb coat and frost a cake using a turntable to produce amazing results. Students will learn to pipe basic butter cream boarders, drop flowers and leaves. Crazy Cakes | Tuesday, April 17th, 10am – Noon | $38
For Kids Grades 3-5. Unlock your child’s creative side. This workshop will teach them how to create something three dimensionally fantastic with cake and frosting. With professional instruction, students will learn multiple piping techniques as well as other tricks of the trade. Each student will get an opportunity to discover how the different shaped pastry tips work and apply that knowledge to the class project. Every student will create their very own three-dimensional edible masterpiece to take home.
Typical workshop projects have included winter or springscapes, animals and seasonal icons. All student leave with their masterpieces professional packaged to enhance bragging rights. A strong emphasis is placed on working hygienically. This ensures that you too can enjoy a bite of their work when class is over. Complimentary mini cakelet included. Min 8 student max of 10.
